UBC Botanical Gardens Christmas tree recycling supports local schools

The UBC Botanical Gardens will be taking Christmas tree recycling which will be chipped into mulch for the Gardens trails.   Only Christmas trees will be accepted (no yard trimmings).  All decorations, tree stands, lights and tinsel must be removed.

Cash donations can be made at a drop box in the Gardens ($5 suggested amount).  All donations through the tree recycling program support educational projects at local schools. This year’s donations will go towards development of a heritage food garden for Shaughnessy Point Grey Childcare and Quilchena Elementary School.
