UBC student interns in HIV and AIDS awareness project

UBC graduate Amy Van Ooyen recently embarked on a two-month developmental internship in Hanoi, Vietnam working with Project ASK, an HIV and AIDS awareness development project. Her responsibilities focused on organizing and facilitating educational workshops at an international high school and local universities. These workshops included interactive activities with the students to promote HIV and AIDS awareness, and providing students an English language learning experience.

Ooyen received this experience through the Global Internship Program run by AIESEC, a student run organization giving students internship opportunities in the 107 member countries in fields such as management, information technology, education, and development.
