UBC professors elected Fellows of the Royal Society 2010
Theoretical physicist Prof. Ian Affleck and evolutionary biologist Prof. Loren Rieseberg have been elected to the United Kingdom’s Royal Society. The UBC researchers are among 44 new fellows joining the ranks of the Society’s elite membership this year, and among five elected from Canadian institutions. More than 6,500 students will graduate this week as UBC holds ceremonies at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. They will join more than 250,000 UBC alumni worldwide.
