UBC releases 2010 report on care of research animals

The University of British Columbia today released the Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) assessment report on the University’s animal care and use program. It is the first university in Canada to release the results of a comprehensive CCAC inspection, a review conducted for research universities every three years.

UBC engineering co-op students support research

UBC students win Global Business Challenge

UBC engineering students took top prize at the KnowledgeWorks Global Student Business Concept Challenge at Virginia Tech in Roanoke,Virginia. The team won for their VersiCool device, designed for the pre-hospital and in-hospital settings, enabling rapid cooling in the early stages following a cardiac arrest. Pharmacists provide additional line of defense for detecting knee osteoarthritis
