Mental Health and Addictions Research Institute, which co-supported the project. The award recognizes her innovation related to evaluating the relationship between mental health stigma and how medical professionals, in particular medical geneticists, treat patients with a rare genetic syndrome. Her work suggests a strategy for improving outcomes for patients through early treatment of psychiatric disorders.
