| UBC opens Korea and Tec de Monterrey Houses. Last year students from Korea University lived in a new integrated residence with 100 UBC students. This year up to 100 students from Mexico’s Tec de Monterrey University will be the first to occupy a similar residence. |

return to UBC. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and HRH Prince
Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, visited UBC for the fourth time on October
7, as part of the Royal Jubilee celebrations. They also visited
UBC in 1951, 1959 and 1983. |
