Campus Plan community consultation
Public consultation will help in determining the next steps in
the physical evolution of UBC’s Vancouver campus. From these
ideas a new vision for our spaces and places will support UBC's
position as a leading global university.
Throughout the history of UBC each campus plan has been a dynamic
process, changing in response to the ideas and feedback of the
campus community. The essence of land use planning is shaping
the future growth and development of an area (city, neighbourhood
or campus) by understanding the current needs and desires of the
community and projecting those forward in time. A plan provides
a framework for decision-making that knits individual projects
into a cohesive whole.
